From Reykjavík to Hjálparfoss waterfall
The tour starts in Reykjavík and takes you towards the center of the country. The exotic and Moon like drive to Landmannalaugar
From the waterfall, you continue into the highlands to our next stop at the Landmannalaugar, your primary destination. Your drive on rough gravel roads or tracks takes toy through ash and black sands with struggling vegetation. In Landmannalaugar you can have a quick hike around the picturesque hills like Blátindur, and Brennisteinsalda and peaks with fantastic views and the scenery is surreal.
Dip into the geothermal pool
After your hike a soothing dip in the warm pools awaits you. So bring your hiking boots and bathing suit to get the full enjoyment of what Landmannalaugar has to offer.
Meet the volc ano on your way back
From Landmannalaugar our journey takes us westward through Domadalur and toward Iceland´s most active volcano, Hekla. The terrain is both mystical and exotic with fields of lava from many of the devastating eruptions of the volcano Hekla towering on your left side about ready to strike again at any time. A road will lead us to heights nearing 1000m where we can enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding areas, that is if the weather gods deem us worthy of such an observation.

Hiking shoes and swimsuit plus camera. And also bring warm clothes, a camera, and some snacks for the ride like a sandwich and water. The driver will stop at service stations with small roadside convenience stores where you can purchase food and snacks.
