Photographing a waterfall in winter can be a difficult task.  When you are at the location by the waterfall during winter, you must remember that everything is slippery. The drizzle from the waterfall drops to the ground as rain and forms layer of slippery ice.  You can never be too cautious in a situation like this.  A good idea is to have a slip-on-traction with ice spikes on your shoes.

This photo was taken by Goðafoss last weekend where many visitors and photographers alike visited the beautiful waterfall.  It is a magnificent sight to see a waterfall frozen and captured by King Winter.  If you are photographing, the winter and the frost gives you a whole new perspective and with patience and the right equipment, you can easily get a good shot.  It is also a reason to visit Iceland and experience something different.  Goðafoss and some other impressive waterfalls are located just on the Ring Road in Iceland.
