Is there anything interesting about a small town or a village that seems kind of isolated on the top of the world? It probably doesn’t take a lot of effort to answer such a question with a no, when you think about a village of few hundred people near the Arctic Circle. But there are many things you can look for that can be of interest. As an example, it is interesting to learn how the town came about and the history behind a place so far away from everything. It is also interesting to learn about the history and survival in times very different to modern times. It is also quite interesting to walk the town and look at the houses, old and new and sense the difference between the city and a small town. After walking through all the towns and villages in Iceland this summer, we found many interesting and surprising things that we photographed and researched; things that we are presenting on our website that opens in November 2015.
